PROGRAMS AND COMMUNITY DIRECTOR
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the medical community to accomplish the mission of the National Kidney Foundation
- Write and execute grants for community based programs
- Enhance efforts to increase public awareness and revenue through: program development and implementation, contact with the public, health care professionals, and patients
- Manage programs such as KEEP, Children & Teen Summer Camp, Research Grants, and Holiday of Hope
- General interest in health and public policy and making a difference
- Prepare and present reports to both CEO and Board
- Supervise and encourage two Programs staff
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Must have strong verbal and written skills to be able to communicate clearly with others
- Must speak Spanish fluently (No Exceptions)
- Ability to promptly meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Deal with patients in an accommodating and sensitive manor
- Effectively establish and maintain positive working relationships with volunteers, patients, medical professionals, NKFSC Board Members, and most importantly office staff.
- Willingness to work some nights and weekends
- Willingness to occasionally travel for some meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Past experience in non-profit agency
- Positive and friendly demeanor
